How we rank

There is no sponsored placement, no promoted row, no pay-to-list and no paid position anywhere on this site. Rank is a pure function of delivered cost per round. If a feature would let money move a row, we do not build it.

The only thing a retailer can buy is Verification, which confirms their feed, their shipping policy and their fee schedule. Verified renders as a badge on the row. It moves nothing.

Retailers who pay us nothing are still listed, from public data, at exactly the rank their delivered price earns. Our coverage is not gated on payment.

Every ranked price is the total that arrives at your address:

• item price
• shipping to your ZIP, for the quantity you actually want
• hazmat, where a carrier charges it
• signature fees where a retailer or a state requires one
• cart minimums that a free-shipping offer does not actually meet
• rebates, subtracted

We model parcels, then price parcels. Retailers cap package weight, and at roughly 28 to 31 lb per 1,000 rounds of 9mm a 2,000-round order is automatically two parcels. Pricing the order instead of the parcels gets this wrong.

Some retailers publish a shipping rate. Many quote it only at checkout. When we cannot verify what shipping will cost to your address, we mark the offer shipping not published, exclude it from ranking, and render its price as a dash.

We do not estimate, interpolate, or average. An unverifiable delivered price is worth less than an honest sticker price, because it spends trust it has not earned.

Right now 2387 of 4515 live offers fall into that bucket. We would rather show you that number than hide it.

Permissioned retailer feeds, platform partnerships, public product endpoints that a retailer's own robots.txt allows, and manufacturer catalogs. We identify our crawler honestly, we rate limit, we honor robots.txt, we never sign in, and we never attempt to get around a bot wall.

We publish prices, availability and product facts. We do not copy retailer photography or marketing copy. Product images appear only where we hold a licence to show them.

Firearm-to-cartridge information is drawn from standards-body and manufacturer specification. It is directional: firing 5.56 NATO in a .223 Remington chamber is not the same question as firing .223 in a 5.56 chamber, and the safe direction reverses between that pair and the .308 / 7.62 NATO pair.

Some combinations are blocked from results entirely rather than merely ranked lower, because they can destroy a firearm and injure the shooter.

None of it is a safety guarantee. Chamber markings, barrel configuration, manufacturer instructions and local law govern what you may safely fire.

Prices change constantly and feeds go stale. Stock counts are only as good as what a retailer publishes, and many are drop-shippers refreshing from a distributor on an hourly cycle. Parsed product attributes carry a confidence score, and anything below our threshold is held back rather than published.

If a price on this site does not match the retailer, tell us. We would rather be corrected than trusted by default.
